'Shakey' wheel...?
My 'RS has a bit of a pull 2 the right while braking. I havent attended to that problem yet but while changing a set of wheels I noticed the front passenger wheels has a bit a 'play' to it (which i'm sure isn't too safe). Meaning I shook it and it seems to move about considerably more than the other 3 wheels which all felt very firm. I'm now thinking that this may be the cause of the 'pull' rather than a brake issue. Any ideas what could be the cause? I dont wanna start randomly replacing steering components that I dont have to.

5 possible causes
1. easiest to fix- steering component. symtoms slop in the steering axis of the wheel.
2. wheel bearings, not hard just do exactly as the instructions say. best to get new races pressed into the rotors if you have new ones or just replace the whole rotor. the wheel will move and flop slightly in all directions
3. strutmounts, not to hard but deff a 2 person job. wheel will move in and out at the top.
4. ball joints, these are a B**** to replace. wheel will move in and out as whell as the whole wheel asembly will move up and down.
5. and the hardest to fix is really wornout A-arm bushing. not really a noticable ammount until they get really bad. but then can cause pull under breaking if you have all the rest fixed.

Try repacking your bearings. If it has that much play its not good. Also is the movemant up and down or in and out.If up and down its probably yuor ball joint.Either way not a big deal.

i plan on driving the car for a few more weeks b4 the snow comes for good it already started a bit... If its a worn bearing, any reason why it would only be on one side?
If its up and down its the ball joint. But i would repack the bearings also.Should be ok for a bit but i wouldnt do any real high speed driving with it like that.

Yea if its in and out it would be the bearings mine were really bad in my car. Its an Audi pos lol but mine were really bad the guys that replaced them were like omg and you were driving this car. Yea if they were the bearings you would hear grinding noise when you would drive
