Could motor mounts cause the car to feel shakey at idle?
I am gonna be getting a brake job (you can thank Brake Masters and their half assed work for this) tomorrow and I was gonna tell the guy to check my motor mounts for me.
I remember from awhile back when I checked my motor mounts, they were in pretty beat up condition, I was just wondering if a worn motor mount can cause a car to be shakey at idle.
If I get those replaced would the car be smoother to drive or no?

The motor in my old 86 IROC was shaky, until one day with the hood up was looking at the motor and stuck it in reverse, I bet the motor jumped 2 inches on one side, found that the motor mount was from a 6.2 diesel and ended up sticking one long a$$ bolt all the way through it. Does the motor hesitate? Could be something on the ignition side, one fouled plug or bad cap would cause it also.
