V6 Ignition upgrades

When upgrading the ignition, is it enough to just add a better spark box (MSD, etc.) and wires or is it more beneficial to change the cap and rotors aswell????

do that stuff first, then put the box on, of if you do it all at the same time, thats fine too, but dont put the box on the old tired stock ignition.

Understood. Looking at the MSD ignition, is there any particular model that is better than the other for our V6's?
