Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knew how much it would cost to convert a 1992 Firebird 3.1 from Auto to Stick Shift or should I ask the question, is it even possible?

To convert, you're probably looking right around $1000 worth of labor to have someone R&R the tranny, R&R the center console, switch out the ECM and do the other little things that are involved in this kind of swap. That's IF YOU supply the parts. Otherwise you're pobably looking at around $2500 for the rebuilt trans, clutch and installation.

u dont need to replace the ecm, just swap out the prom in the ecm for a manual trans prom.the hardest part of the swap is actually cuttin the hole in th efloor for the shifter, well that and getting up under the dash to bolt in the pedel assembly.
if u can drop the trans urself more then likely u can do the swap urself there isnt a whole lot to it
