Stiff Steering
Greetings,
My steering has become very stiff as of late. In searching forums, I haven't been able to figure out (or narrow down) if it would be my p/s pump, gear box, or even idler arm (?).
Steering is stiff, especially in the morning.
P/S fluid is not leaking nor is it low.
P/S pump does not squeel.
Belt seems fine too.
Tires are good and properly inflated.
All suspension parts seem fine and have been lubed.
At 310,000 miles, I'm guessing I should replace the P/S pump. I would hate to replace gear box ($$$).
Any thoughts?
