weird starting problem, still switches to open loop to much

Pump primes and stops, turn key, cranks and doesn't try to fire at all. Release starter, pump seems to be priming again before I even release the key, crank it again and it fires right up.

One time yesterday I cranked it a second time without waiting a second and it sputtered into life, I had to play with the gas, and it ran rough for about 8 seconds.

Today just once it started up like normal.

I don't know if the fuel pressure leak is causing this or not. Saturday I'm getting another fuel rail and regulator. I want to try that before I get another pump. I still need to check on what the best pump is since I hear some suck even brand new. I wonder if that shop put in a cheap one that sucks.

doesn't seem to stay in closed loop when warmed up and idling. Even at 1500rmps it switches back and forth (75% closed I guess). Is it okay to drive with the A and B pins jumped to moniter closed loop operation? I assume it would be.
