2.8 heads on 3.1? Good or Bad
Ok heres the deal,
I found a $50 pair of 2.8 heads of a camaro. I want to buy them and attempt to port and polish them. I have a 3.1 camaro, Would i be loosing power by putting 2.8's on a 3.1? I know most people want to put 3.1 heads on the 2.8. I figure if i mess these up im only out $50 plus shipping.

heads are exactly the same on any 60* v6, so the 2.8 3.1 and 3.4 all use the same heads.
port and polish them, install them and call it a day, but if you really want to see a bit of an upgrade, do your best to port the intake manifold, they are very restrictive, porting your heads won't do anything if the intake is still flowing the same

The guy on the interent said his son blew the motor up and i can have the pushrods, heads, and intake for the same price. He said he developed a knock. Is there any possible chance theres damage to the heads?
