23 PSI = fun and .....

heh i hit 23 psi tonight, due to a stuck wastegate, only reason i noticed it was cause i noticed my afr gauge go into the red zone,so i glance over to see exactly were it was reading and i see 22-23 psi on my boost gauge.i let off it right away, but i think i hurt the motor, once i got it home carefully i let it sit and idle and i hear something taping, car still has good oil preasure and isnt smoking,
but i think i hurt a main or rod bearing, cause a few weeks ago i had snaped the oil pump driveshaft.i didnt do anything but drop in a new driveshaft.

though if im really lucky it just a lifter going bad

though i must say after going over 20 psi, i really think im going to have to upgrade the fuel system and go for more boost(on the forged motor anyways)

no efficiancy drops off after 18 psi, over 18 psi it will still make more power but it will take more psi of boost to get the same amount of power, that it would say going from 7 to 12 psi.

Gotcha.

Actually, that worries me. Was it carbon build-up that caused the sticking, or faulty vacuum lines?
