Fuel Injectors - Need Help and Advice

Sup people. Well my injectors have well over 175k+ miles on them and it's time for a change.

I'm looking to get bigger injectors for my 2.8 v6 engine that has been installed in a 90 RS. I haven't done any mods to the engine. I don't know if this makes a difference but I'll throw it out there. I changed the Fuel Pump with a new Edelbrock In-Tank Electric Fuel Pump (click to see which one I have).

I remember watching SpeedVision and they were working with a v6 and put in v8 injectors with no problems.

I am an extreme n00b when it comes to this stuff so basically I need to know what I should look at, what should I get, do I have to do anything computer wise. Oh and did I have to do anything computer wise since I changed my Fuel Pump?

I do not plan on getting NOS. MAYBE a Supercharger, maybe.

The other mods done to my car are in my sig.

Thanks for any and all help!

With absolutly no mods, don't worry about installing bigger injectors. Why are you changing them out? Are you having a problem with them? Just have them professionally cleaned and they should be fine. Worry about installing the proper injectors and getting the tuning done when you finally decide on installing some serious mods.

If all you do is install larger injetors, you will have problems.

This is why the speed channel is a bad idea...lol

No need to put larger injectors in it. If you insist on changing them, just put one ones in there place. Or get a second set and have them cleaned, then install them.

No need for bigger injectors, and it will be tough to get the car to run with them without computer tuning. I am speaking from experience, since I am running 24# Ford V8 injectors to supply my turbo with enough fuel. Until I burn a new PROM my car is running rich at idle, even with the fuel pressure way down.

Okay, guess I'll stick with getting replacements. Thanks Folks.

They have over 175k miles on them. Think it would be a good time to replace them, IMO.

Just something for you to chew on...I cleaned mine once, when I redid the intake manifold gaskets @ 180K miles, and now have 260K miles on it. All I did was have them professionally cleaned, no need to replace them unless there's a problem, unless you really want to.
