Recently changed intake (pic) and have a (vacuum?) point just hangin out...
I'm sure you guys with V6s will know exactly what I'm talking about. The piece that slips into the rubber booting just before the throttle body. I recently changed my intake and now I've just got that piece sitting below it. I haven't noticed any negative changes.
I figure if all it does it suck air, what difference does it make if it's air from my intake or air from outside of it?
Do I have anything to worry about?

its a breather for the valve cover,when u go wot it uses the suction in the intake to pull air/gases out of the crankcase, u can leave it unhooked if u like,since u still have the pcv hooked up

Thanks, it was only about $50 for all of it.
I live in the city, so it's alot of stop and go traffic and when I'm in the middle of that there isn't much change, but I noticed when I get up to about 40 and I'm cruising along and want to pass someone or speed up it builds speed better than it did. Other than that m exhaust sounds a bit smoother.
So yes, I can tell a difference but for the most part when I'm going about 40+

I bought everything seperate. I got the aluminum 3" piping from a local exhaust shop for $10, bent and cut. I got the silicon connectors for $6 each on ebay and the filter for $20-somethin at AutoZone.
So thats $42ish. Plus I painted it ($5 for that expensive chromish paint )and had to buy one more metal clamp (like $2 maybe?).
I'm pretty proud of it. Just one more thing I say I did custom on my car and put it together myself.
