My 89 rs 2.8 wont start. Its very odd. My car started fine for a long time and all of a sudden, it just wont start. All of the electrical systems work witht the key on(although the windows go up/down slowly for some reason) but as soon as i go to start the car everything dies. Iv checked the battery with a multi tester and it reads 12 volts. I removed the battery and cleaned off the elads and cheked them to make sure there was contact.

A frined of mine has a 92 rs an he said he had the same thing happen to him and it was a bad starter. Do you thinnk this could be my problem? And what shouldi do about trying to test it?

or ur battery just reads 12v when not under load go get battery tested some where or have some one turn key while u test voltage

 

just checked everything out, starter solenoid is bad. Started right up as soon as my dad jumped it somehow. So now i need to find the cheapest place for those.
