Idle problems
I'm posting this for a friend with a V6 bird who cannot access thirdgen from work for whatever reason. This is his problem and story, he wants to know how to adjust the idle, but is curious to know if anything else could be wrong from what he says.
But my question is ive got a 2.8 litter v-6 is there any way to turn up the idle i cant seem to find the ideal screw i know its seeled somewear in the throdel body.could any body help?ive replaced the fuel injectors with 3.8 injectors ive replced the heads with 3.8 heads and replced the intake gaskets, also replaced the mass airflow sensor and distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires, and the car still only wants to idle at about 700 rpm at stop lights should ideal at 1,000..could anyone help?
The car drives great good exceleration as long as your giving it gas for example. When you start the car it will sit there and idle at 1,000 rpm awsome but once you put it in gear and drive for 5 min it drops to about 700rpm not that low but still to low.but if you just barley touch the gas it sits wright at 1,000 so if can figure out how to adjust the idle
Any help is appreciated, thanks =)
