Serpentine belt and non serpentine (don't know the word)
FYI 1986 Firebird V6 2.8 mpfi
Yeah, I'm not sure what they call the belts if it isn't a serpentine belt...is there a word?
But my real question is, how easily is a non serpentine belt driven car converted to a serpentine belt? Possible? And will the same underdrive pulley work on either on a serpentine belt(ed?) car or one without?
Sorry I don't really know the words to explain this one, hope someone gets it...

Usually a serpentine belt is a revers rotation from a v belt set up. So you would need to change out the water pump to a serpentine belt water pump. Other then that it should just be bolt on.
