what oil filter and oil do i need to do a oil change

Axle/Gears: 3.42
ac delco or wix oil filter. or whatever you prefer. and whatever oil is on your sticker at the top of the windshield. a lot of people use valvoline or mobil 1. some people with performance rebuilt engines use royal purple.

Axle/Gears: 3.42 open/2.73 open/ 3.27 9 bolt
AC Delco PF 52; in S Carolina you can use whatever weight oil you want...

I like diesel engine oil because it has more cleaning additives in it. I use straight 40 from Mobil, Shell, Chevron, etc..., as long as it's CF or CH rated...
