Fuel Pump / Electrical problem
1991 Firebird, 3.1. I recently rebuilt the engine and tried to start it. Wasn't getting fuel. So I replaced the fuel pump and got fuel. But, I apparantly had the rocker studs too tight
so I had to remove the intake, fuel rail, etc. to loosen them. Now, my fuel pump isnt pumping. It doesnt click on to prime when the key is turned.
Checked the fuse, its good. Changed the relay. Changed the ignition module. Still nothing.
I have power going to the fuse on the side of the engine compartment. I have power going to the relay. I have power to the Fuel indicator wire (purple wire) at the connector inside the fuel tank. But I have no power at the fuel pump (gray wire).
What am I missing? What is between the relay and the pump? If it was the pick-up coil or ecm somehow would i be getting power at the relay???

Re: Fuel Pump / Electrical problem
IIRC should be a straight wire to the pump from the relay terminal 30. Does the relay energize when you turn the key to run?
You can also run 12V to the fuel pump prime terminal at the ALDL with the key off the pump should run. Not sure which terminal it is but I do know it is the red wire. It goes through the normally closed contact of the relay. That will verify the wire from the relay and the fuel pump.
