ive got a new coil msd blaster, a new msd cap and rotor, new plug wires, brand new sprak plugs, and new distributor but it still not getting any spark. the car ran fine before i changed the starter. and it keeps blowing the crank fuse any ideas why?

 

Was the engine running fine with the MSD already hooked up? If not, re-inspect it's grounds (might also be why your blowing your fusible link). Make sure your battery terminals aren't loose (another possibility regarding your fusible link)....

 

yeah battery reminals are good. i found out wich wire it is thats causing the fuse to blow. but i dont know what to do know. should i trace the wire and see if its torn or something? and what amp is the crank fuse supposed to be?

 

i found the problem. one of the wires that goes to the starter got melted in half by the headers and i keept overlooking it, so i soldered it back together and im good to go.

 

im curious did u get an msd box or just a coil???
with as much nitrous as u plan to spray i would highly suggest getting an msd 6al and putting in a rev limit chip 200 or so rpms before the ecms fuel cut
