Hey all I own a 92 RS with the 3100 V6 and I've got an issue with it wanting to go dead when I let off of the gas after a long stretch of highway. like I go 22 miles down the road at a certain speed and then decide to turn down a road when I go to slow down it acts like I cut the key off but I am not. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this situation, take into mind that the chassis has been sitting up for AT LEAST 7 years and the engine and trans has been more or less been sitting up for the last seven months but since I've put the motor in the car I've put 300 miles on the chassis and motor (no codes) and I was hoping that someone somewhere could help me with this issue!

Give us some more info. Any noises, problems, etc?

 

It's not a "3100" it's a 3.1, there IS a rather large difference.

What's the fuel pressure like?

Last time a tune up was done?

What do the plugs look like?

Is there decent pressure at the exhaust tip?

Where's the timing set at?
