Injector questions.

How many lbs are the stock injectors?
And will putting larger lb injectors call for any other changes?

I ask because we want to replace the ones on my car, they are probably the stock ones, and if I find any larger ones for a cheaper price, I'd like to go with those.

Re: Injector questions.

yeah the stock injectors are 15lbs on a 2.8 and 17lbs on a 3.1 i believe. but you dont need to upgrade anything, it wont mess up your computer it will just make your car idle a little richer.

well it just depends on what size injector. if you go to big your gonna have to change stuff.

Re: Injector questions.

I had to replace my injectors and went with some from a junkyard 3.1 and put them in my 2.8. I don't run rich very much if at all. I did notice some more power in the very top RPMs but that is about the only gain that you will see.

Re: Injector questions.

Thanks guys. I'm not lookin to gain performance (thought it is always a plus ) I just thought if I find some injectors for cheap and they're a higher lb than the stock ones, I'd go with those.

Re: Injector questions.

Also, pairtoe you might have noticed I'm asking these questions because of the injectors you've got for sale , but...

Since they're 19lbs, would I just be wasting gas by going 4 lbs stronger?
If 17 will be a little rich, I'm wondering what 19 would turn out like...?

Re: Injector questions.

19 is probably way too much just on a stock engine. He was running a larger cam and ported heads w/ N2O. 17 is the highest that I would reccomend if you wanted to go bigger.
