Kind of like its chocking itself out or getting too much vaccum. im pretty sure there is no leaks and i just changed the fuel pump and have full pressure and i also just changed the plugs and wires and cap and rotor. also the o2 sensor. any ideas? please help i need to try anything to get ym baby running again. could the cat converter be clogged? is my IAC bad? anything should help. please e-mail me at b3n0316@yahoo.com with info

Hi b3n,
Sounds pretty stupid but if you just changed those items (the fuel pump, the plugs and wires and cap and rotor. also the o2 sensor) and the problem has started since then, then your problem I would say is what you have just done.
Have you gapped the plugs right? I changed them in my car last year, it ran fine before then ran crap after. I re-checked them and found they were a little out so I re-gapped them again, hey presto it ran like a dream! Before you suspect the complicated stuff like the IAC or the oxygen sensor check the easy stuff first, it’s more likely gonna be that (plug gaps, ignition wires on and in correct sequence etc)
Hope that helps a little bit, nothing worse than when baby’s not running right L
Speed.

Try cleaning out your TB. Get all of the passages real well and clean out the tip of the IAC. When you clean the passages take the IAC off to get in there real well.

Maybe you had a problem and then fixed the fuel pump, only that's not what the whole problem was...
What happenned in the beginning that led you to change the fuel pump?
Also, I have had the coil "die on the operating table," so to speak, twice with these cars. You may want to check it out. I didn't find the problem until it was at night and in the dark; there was a spark jumping through the side of the coil and grounding out to the mount bracket...

Re: I Need Major Help please read
well, in the beginning it was all good and perfect and my love ran just fine. then winter hit and my dad ended up buying a car to drive since my 91 was lowered a few inches and was pretty much a sled in the snow. he parked it for a long time and when we went to start it again and no feul was moving so we weened through everything trying to avoid the dreaded f-body fuel tank removing ritual (lol it took me almost a weeks worth of time wiggling it out) and we changed the feul pump and it ran great afterwards until it was parked again and i have great feul pressure and flow so its not that again either. my IAC is working now for sure because i can hear it grunting and moving when i shut the car off. something else is causing my car to choke. its no the gap on the plugs either because it starts and runs great its when it come to idle time after a start is when it dies. it will start then idle really high and then when its time to idle down it will die.
