Easiest quickest way to change the oil pump / pull the pan?
2.8 V6 T5
I know how to do it, I know what should come off but Im looking for folks who have needed to take the pan off and if they found any short cuts to make the job easier and quicker.
Heard before that sometimes once all is lose, letting the trans hang lose yanks the front of the motor high enough to get the pan off without removing engine mounts.
And no Ill never put a bigger motor in it or change to a V8, keep them suggestion to yourself.

Wouldn't the crossmember get in the way of the pan then?
Easiest way I know is to undo the mounts, jack it up, and block it. I had no problem unbolting my mounts...they came off pretty easily. The most annoying part is taking the Y pipe off, but that'll have to come off no matter what, of course.
