87 2.8 v6 flywheel thickness

87 2.8 v6 flywheel thickness

does anyone have a 85-87 2.8 flywheel they can lay on a flat surface and measure overall thickness. the one i have that i think was originally on my wifes car is almost an inch thinner than the newer 88 and up 6.

nevermind i figured out my problem the flywheel i have is from an s10

i used to think so too. but now that i remember i got this flywheel off an s10 a couple years ago. i checked the partsamerica website for an s10 and camaro of the same year 86 the flywheels are different part numbers and if you look at pictures of them both you can see the difference the s 10 one is only 7/8 of an inch thick where the camaro one is 1 3/4 inches thick.
