87 Camaro Starting Problems, Starts sometimes dont other times
I have an 87 Camaro V6 2.8L and i have trouble starting it. Sometimes it starts right up other times it wont start it all, what it will do is start up for a split second and stall and giving it gas don't help at all. When it does start it runs and drives fine, but then i'll shut it off and try to start it back up and it just will crank start up for a split second then stall real quick. I have a new fuel pump in it, i changed the plugs and wires. Anyone think it could be like a map or O2 sencor? Any thoughts let me know please, thanks.

How about the coil and ignition module. Have you done a good tune up check tomp tune up guide. That will do amanazing things. Have you checked your fuel filter.

1. You 87 doesn't have a MAP sensor, it's an $80 MAF.
2. Has the car sat for a while? If so, you might want to think about having your fuel injectors cleaned after you do your tune up.
3. Before you do anything else, do a FULL tune up. All filters, ALL fluids, and ALL secondary ignition components (plugs, wires, cap and rotor), along with the PCV valve, are changed. Get a can of SeaFoam and run that through the engine, unhooking a vacuum line (probably from the tee in the back of the plenum) and using that to suck the SeaFoam into each cyl. Shut the car off for about 15 min, and then start it back up after you replace the vac hose and dump the other half of the can in the gas tank.. Stand back, as a whole crap load of carbon will come out of the exhaust pipe, as it used to be on the inside of the intake and combustion chambers.
Then, if you still have problems, start by checking the coil and module inside the distributor as was stated above, and also check the MAF sensor.

you can check your ignition and coil fuel filter i would also check fuel pressure. it could also be water in your gas or head gasket water could be fouling your plugs water
