EGR

EGR

Hey I am working on a 1986 Camaro 2.8 I have rebuildt the motor. I was wounding if any one had a egr and the pipe to go to the intake. i may need a manafold for the pass side also. and one more thing is the egr really needed or is that something i can just block off if i can find some plates for it. Thanks for the help.

You can delete it, but the SES light will come on after a highway drive if you have no way to tune.

Thanks for the tips. Did you make the block off plates are can you buy them. And what is the best route to take. Block them off are get a Egr?

The only annoyance is that the SES light will be triggered in time, but it doesn't effect driveability. You can either tune it out, or simply pull the SES bulb itself. They don't make block off kits, I did that for my cousin. The car is being parted out, so if you want that stuff just ask....

actually if you go to Jegs.com, they do make EGR block off plates.
