exhaust leak

Hey I have a blown ex. doughnut on the pass side of the motor. What tools does it take to remove the bolts so I can replace it? I don't seem to have them.

Re: exhaust leak

if its the one between the manifold and ypipe, i had to play with my driver side a few times, it i remember its a PITA to get to the pass one. but im pretty sure its a 15mm longdrive socket, a long extension and a socket elbow. the bolts dont come off though, theyre nuts that are on there soak it in pb blaster or WD40 a few times before attempting so you dont snap the bolts. im not sure of the size of the extension needed so maybe someone else can put that it or eye it up yourself

Re: exhaust leak

I just changed my Y-Pipe last summer. The driver side came off easy...pass side wasnt as nice. I soaked them and they both still snapped on me and I had to drive a couple miles with only the driver side bolted on to get them drilled out...that was fun
From underneath the car you will need a deep socket, an elbow joint and a couple extensions. If you dont have AC you can easily reach it from above the car. Just make sure you soak the bolts.
