Thermastat??

our thermostats are supposed to be 160* right?? Wondering cause my car is running hot and my dad said he bought a 220* or 190* thermastat and i thought that was wrong so just double checking.

Is everything stock?? If so the lowest that you would want to run is 190*. The factory prolly had a 210* stat in it.

The stock thermostat is a 195*. You can go as low as a 180* without harming anything, but a 160 will mess with your ECM, as the system looks for a 160* coolant temp to enter fuel saving closed loop.
