need help

I have the 2.8 and it runs fine but the tranny is giving me and my dad heck. Plus this car was a corpus christi car and i am dealing with rust on the engine and i dont know how many miles are on the car. so i dont know how long it is going to last. I am thinking about trying to do a 350 swap in a weekend because this is my daily driver and my only way to college. Since i didnt know how much trouble that is i was thinking just buying a reman 2.8 and tranny and dropping it in instead. Not sure which to do because i have to have the car. Need mucho advice. thanks for the input.

Re: need help

A v8 swap will be more than a weekend if you've never done it before. A straight 2.8 swap will take you all weekend, though it could be done in a day if you've done it before(I was able to remove my engine in right around four hours, but I've done it before).
