Power Steering Hose wrong...

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 91 Camaro RS V6 and quickly found the Power Steering Pressure hose has a small hole in it. I went to the local parts store and bought the Powercraft 71422 (listed hose for vehicle) only to find it does not match the hose on my car and it is too short to work. I have been to every parts house and they all have the same hose. I have searched the internet and only found the same thing Please look at the pic and tell me what hose I need. The bottom hose is the one from my car. The top hose is the Powercraft (hose listed for the car). As you can see the pump end is not bent at the correct angles causing the hose to be too short.

But make sure if you try this, you use a pipe bender and not do it by hand.

Re: Power Steering Hose wrong...

I took your advice, somewhat. I took the part to a local fabrication shop that bends tubing similar to this an d they bent it for me for free. It bolted right on and no more leak.
