rear end question
I recently purchased a 89 camaro V8 car for parts and I was wondering if I could swap out the rear ends and if that RE would be any beter than my v6?

Re: rear end question
I thought about swapping the motor out at sometime with a v8. So is 9bolt or 10 bolt better? Would the v6 RE hold up to a mild v8?

Re: rear end question
the v8 and v6 have the same rear ends just v6 typicaly have better gearing...the 10 bolt in our cars are pretty weak the 9 bolt is a good bit stronger stock vs stock but the 9 bolt is lil rare...look at the cover mounting bolts if it has only 9 then it is a borg warner 9 bolt. you probably have 10 bolt rears in both cars so in that case dont worry about swapping cause neither is stronger then the other...
