Hey im sam. Im 15 years old and just bought a 1986 camaro. Its a 5 speed and has a V6. fuel injected. (durrr) so it doesnt start. what a surprise. so i checked the spark plugs and theyre fine. I detached the fuel lines and no fuel was coming through the lines. my neighbor told me to check the fuses and relays. he said that the last thing i wanted to do was pull out the gas tank to check the fuel pump. apparantly its hell getting to those things. but just if you guys had any more tips of where in gods good earth to start, id gladly take them. thanks!

You can check to see if the fuel pump still runs by putting 12 volts to the diagnostic terminal under the dash on the drivers side. You want use slot G, it should be the first slot on the bottom left of the terminal. Once you apply voltage to it you should hear the fuel pump run, if not you probably need to change the pump.

you can start by checking the fuse, and see if its even got a circuit flowing to it. then check like Hazzard said, and send power through to it, and see if it starts pumping fuel. If not, time to change the pump...and we all know you wanna do that

Check fuses on the fender under the hood, left side looking at engine.
They are just single fuses in their own weather pack holder, tiny black box like.

Even if replay went out, once the engine reaches 7psi of oil pressure the pump should kick on. My relay has never worked and id have to crank it over 2-3 times sometimes to build oil psi for it to run.
