Re: egr

if your egr system is working properly there is no reason to remove it because it does not hurt your hp under accerleration. plust its illegal so...

Clean out the EGR or get one from the junk yard.

$299?? Mine broke and I got a newer one for $40...

And if you're worried about the carbon in your intake...why don't you clean it? I had 110,000 miles on my engine before I cleaned mine...and it that terrible at all. Defiantly dirty...but not as bad as I had thought.

Your call...but either way I would defiantly try to type a little better so that people can help you a little better. We can only help with what we understand.

Re: egr

well, if you want to make the block off plate, take off the egr valve and trace it onto a piece of metal with soapstone then cut it out and drill the holes for the bolts. the gaskets are metal (at least mine was) so you might be able to reuse them.
