GOING TO THE TRACK AGAIN WENSDAY

got the car tuned some more, also removing the front end suspension limiters
other then that i installed new rear brake shoes so we should be able to pull some 9psi instead of 5psi launches

so post up guys best guesses on what the cars gonna run

keep in mind every time ive had the car out we have droped .400-.500 of the et every run

first time out 14.50
second time 14.00
second outing 13.920 < due to pipes/coupler blowing part only got in the one partial run
last outing 13.4
final run last outing 13.008

i will go as far as saying a 12.0-12.1xx

lets hear what u guys think

Re: GOING TO THE TRACK AGAIN WENSDAY

If you can get 9psi runs, I'll go for the 12.1's

If you keep at 5psi, I'll go for 12.6's

:edit:, have you done any weight mods to trims some cottage cheese off that beast?

Re: GOING TO THE TRACK AGAIN WENSDAY

dale the 13.oo run was at 9 psi

the only thing was we could launch more then 5 psi of boost on the line cause the car kept pushing threw the brakes

so im still gonna run 9psi just try to launch the car even harder now with the new rear brake shoes

but man if i can go 12.1 on a full out 9psi launch this thing is deff headed well into the 11's once we turn up the boost.WOOOOOOOOOOOOT

funny thing is the gn i ran in the second run is a friend he has 2the 2 gns that night he went home and pulled the heads and intake off his other gn and installed cnced ported heads and an intake cause he didnt want to get beat by a 60* v6 lmao

200lbs lighter. And running 9psi... 12.2's... or braking something

I thought you were cranking up the boost from 5 to 9.

Re: GOING TO THE TRACK AGAIN WENSDAY

yup thats the one.

for those of u that dont know what that is that is a 15psi wastegate spring
which means my minimum boost will be 15 psi and i can dbl that with a few turns of the boost controller so my max boost is now an astounding 30-33 psi

Re: GOING TO THE TRACK AGAIN WENSDAY

bmx yes i run a megasquirt one

enswrob well the 15 psi spring was for a 40mm wastegate it did not fit mine

but we shimmed my current spring and hooked up the wastegate to an presure regulator on the compressor the wastegate cracks open at around 13 psi and is fully open at 17 psi

so its a quess at how much boost the car will run on wastegate alone

and btw i built this thing to take 25 psi so the motor i know is good

the stock ds and rear on the other hand umm not so good lol

Re: GOING TO THE TRACK AGAIN WENSDAY

yeah gonna leave the rich tune in it and see what kind of boost it makes without the boost controler, as long as it stays under 21 psi im ok, i have yet to actually install the 5 bar map sensor upgrade into my ecm
