Hey guys, I'm 16 and just bought an 89 RS with a 2.8 in it, and I'm trying, to make a little more power with this 2.8 as I get the money. I just installed an ignition box, I think its just the 6A along with new plugs, wires, and a blaster coil. Now when ever you try to run the engine a little hard or put your foot into it the service engine light comes on! It's weird because it doesn't run any worse when it does come on, and once you shut it off and turn the car on again it goes away. A friend of my dads also told me once I start upgrading things I'll notice other things will start needing replaced. So I was hoping you guys could tell me what the SES light meant?

it could be anything just use a paperclip and find out what code it is.
