TPS sensor can't go below .58mv?

Yeah...I was scanning it today and I thought I'd tried to get the tps down to a minimum . Well, I got to turning the tps while looking at the scanner and I got it down to .58mv and by that time the set screw was already away from the throttle lever and not toucging it. It would seem you can get it to 0mv at least. Is the millivolt right for my throttlebody or am I missing something?

You mean .58 volts, not mv, right?

.58v at idle is not outside of specification for 85-89 (.55v +/- .05v), and while I can't find exact reference on the 90-92 3.1l I believe it is still within specification. You don't want 0v.

Also, the ECU reads anything over 4v as WOT, usually the sensor will produce 4.25-4.5v max

Re-reading what you posted.. what set screw were you turning to adjust the TPS? It sounds like you were adjusting the minimum idle stop screw... adjusting the TPS is accomplished by loosening the two torx bolts holding the TPS onto the throttle body...

You're right. Unlike the 2.8 V6, the 3.1s were non-adjustable.. I was turning the idle set screw which in turns adjusts the voltage for the tps. I guess I'm in spec., but I thought it would go a little lower.
