That looks like an old mechanical fuel injection intake manifold. I've never seen one for a 60 degree V6 before. You can take those things and make really great Electronic Fuel Injection systems out of them, of course with a lot of fabrication and tuning.

Converting an old mechanical fuel injection setup over to EFI was really the in-thing for hot rodders and nostalgia types a few years ago. It may still be.

Re: anybody had experience with this??

while it is a nice piece and by far the best u could could get. its not worth it unless ur prepared to do the following to get the most out of it

#1 switch to a mechanical cam something in the 272 range
#2 convert the intake to efi ( not hard )
#3 build the motor to be able to turn 7-8K on a reg basis
#4 raise compression to atleast 10-1

the nice thing about mechanical injection is u could run methanol or e85 with just a few jet changes,
its very easy to tune but not meant for a street car

to convert it to efi would require pretty much removing the mechanical injector nozzles and having the holes drilled for fuel injectors and having fuel rials made

Re: anybody had experience with this??

well #3 and #4 on your list are going to happen. i want this engine to be one of those rare N/A sixxers that make a good amount of power. the car is my auto-x/track/dd car (though it won't be my dd for long), so it sees quite a bit of high rpm.

Looks like a Hilborn system that you used to see in the 60's/70's... get some chrome Hilborn 'trumpets' to go on it and it will look totally trick!
