Pacesetter Mid Tube Headers???

I'm looking at a set of mid tube headers for my girlfreinds '87 Camaro, it has a 2.8L V6 and 700R4 transmission. They're the Pacesetter mid tube headers offered by JC Whitney (ZX311104) they have 1-1/2" tubing and 2-1/4" collectors. are they worth the money? I'm not looking for a major performance boost for this car, but will it give it a little more kick? The Camaro has stock pipes and cat with a Flowmaster 50 series single in single out muffler

--also--

What would these same headers do on a '86 Trans AM with a 3.4l/T-5 W/C swapped in it? The engine currently has a .427/.454 lift roller cam, 305TPI injectors, Pro-Form roller rockers, Cold Air intake, Accel coil, module and wires, AC Delco plugs, .040 flat top pistons and .020 over valves. I have a two disc clutch and pro-billet shifter and 3.73 posi rear, the exhaust is the stock mani's into 2-1/4" stainless piping through a Random Technologies cat and a single in dual out Flowmaster 50 series muffler with 3-1/2" tips

It would be a good upgrade over the stock anchors.

I know on the Fiero 2.8 the exhaust manifolds were a huge restriction but not as big as the intake but you could free up 20+ hp from headers and a y pipe.

Dude, seriously! You are strangling the crap out of that engine with stock manifolds! One of the first things you should have done was to get headers on that engine! While you're at it, ditch the 2.25" piping to the rear and go 2-1/2", which is optimal for our engine size to reduce backpressure.

But, then, there is the whole issue of the Accel ignition... Should've gone with an MSD system if you were going to put that much money in it.
