1.6 Rockers

SO I've done a search, and I cant find out how much of a boost 1.6 rockers will give to an otherwise stock 2.8 V6.

I hope to be able to get Pacesetters+catback done sometime soon, and wanted to add the 1.6 rockers to help.

How much do the rockers actually help?

I may end up doing them before the exhaust.....will I actually feel the difference?

Re: 1.6 Rockers

Well it might extend the rpm range and make it rev more freely, but you probably won't see much of a gain. You'll get more out of the headers.

Re: 1.6 Rockers

You can do the 1.6 rockers - although I believe the studs need to be changed from metric to SAE. Also, I believe you will need a valve cover with more clearance.

1.52 roller tipped rockers work quite fine for these engines and as mentioned above, go with headers and add in a CAI.

I have a pair of fiero valvecovers that'll give you the clearance you need. Just collecting dust for about a year now.

Re: 1.6 Rockers

1.6 rockers and stock valve covers with no problems. Just make sure that you adjust the valves right the first time.

Re: 1.6 Rockers

im guna fit 1.6 rockers, i expect only 10hp max, but increased drivability, that would be the main point.
