Need Help With My 2.8L MPFI

Hi everyone im new here. This is actually my first post. I recently just bought an 89 Camaro RS It has the 2.8L MPFI V6 engine in it. WEll come to find out the engine is pretty messed up. I got oil shooting into my throttle body and intake. I believe i also have a crack in the block but not sure. All i know is im leaking coolant and the car keaps overheating. I have replaced everything like the radiator, water pump, thermostat and all the hoses so its none of that stuff. So now i decided to just buy a new rebuilt engine. The problem i am having is i cant seem to find a 2.8L engine anywhere where i live. According to everyone i talk to the engine is rare and hard to find. So my question is what other engine can i stick in my car that easy east to find? Can a 4.3L from a camaro fit in the car with out changing much. I want an engine that will take the least amount of changes and work to put in. So can you guys please help me and tell me what engines will be the easiest to come buy and fit directly back into the car. A 3.1, 3.4, 4.3 engine? What cars have the engine that i can use?

A 4.3 is a 90* motor, the 2.8/3.1/3.4 are all 60* motors which are all direct replacements.

What he means to say is that the transmission bolt pattern at the flywheel end of the engine is different on the 2.8 than it is for the 4.3. The 2.8 has what is called an FWD bolt pattern (nearly ALL FWD engines GM uses have the same bolt pattern), and the 4.3 has the SBC/BBC style bolt pattern, being that it is specific for an RWD platform (trucks, mostly).

Either way, have you looked at eBay? I've seen either brand new or freshly rebuilt engines on there a lot, both 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4's. Not cheap, but all you need to add is your coverings and intake, and you're good to go.
