Hello everyone
Hello everyone
Well I got a 85 firebird with a 2.8 with bad headgasket and something wrong with automatic tranny that my dad bought from a friend for $200. It's my project now I'm only 16 so I have plenty of time. I started reaserching and found this great site it has tons of information and I love it so far.
plans for it build a 3.4 for it, have tranny rebuilt and do shift kit, fix the only small dent on the car and repaint car in some type of nice white. and a few other things. this will be a slow project as with the economy being the way it is.
but I look forward to learning even more stuff about these awesome cars
and sorry if this is in the wrong section, wasen't sure where to post.

Re: Hello everyone
small blocks are easier to find, and cheaper to build. in all honesty, get yourself a small block, you will be much happier in the end.
oh yeah, and welcome.

Re: Hello everyone
Thanks,
I thought about the v8 when I got it, but as I read on how much work it is to swap it then the added weight and so on it's easier to just build the 2.8 or find the 90's something 3.1 or 3.4 and build those.
And I have read that best mufflers for v6 thread and I have come to like the dynomax muffler, it doesn't sound like a 4 cylinder with that.
