i have a 3.1 sometimes the car will start and other times it will click then nothing i have replaced the battery and the starter twice but it still only starts some times could it be the ignition switch on the steering column it doesn't seem to be the vats any input would be appritiated thank you

 

hot wire your neutral safety switch. start with the easy things. i got my car cheap cheap because it was doing this.

 

X2 ^ I would definately start with the simple stuff. I got my car cheap too. The previous owner put a push button starter on mine. I thought about trying to fix the ignition but I kind of like the push button start. So I am going to keep it that way for now. I have bigger fish to fry.

 

Any updates with the progress on your car??

 

yes i replaced the ignition switch and it seems to be working now havent had any problems since thanks for the help guys
