I've searched the complete site with not much information, I have an 87 Camaro v6 that has been evactuated, retrofitted, and filled, and surprisingly my a/c compressor does work and makes no noises it's fairly new, anyway whenever the a/c compressor clutch engages the belt wobbles between the alternator and crank pulley about 1 - 1 1/2" play and seems like the belt will either fly off or break off, the belt is brand new and is tightly sound when running idle and I have felt the tension of the belt with the car off (seems about right nice and tight) what could be causing this?
-A weak tensioner spring? (if so how can I test for this before ditching dollar after dollar)
-or could it do with my a/c compressor?
