speed sensor is attached to the transmission. on the side of the case. can't think of the wire colors off hand.

...yup is on the tranny...drivers side tailshaft...dont remember the colors off hand either

Mine is a 2 slot connector with 1 yellow wire and 1 purple wire. Hope that helps.

Just in case...for those of us with mechanical speedos:
The VSS is mounted on the back of the speedo head. It's an optical sensor.
