Is a Mallory 4569201 Unilite Dizzy compatible with a Mallory 6852 Ignition Box?
So, I have a Mallory #4569201 Unilite Distributor and a Mallory #6852M HyFire VI-A Digital CD Ignition Box. Anybody know if they are compatible with an '85 FI 2.8 and each other? Per Summit Racing the Dizzy is compatible with the motor ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MAA-4569201 ) and the Ignition box ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MAA-6852M ) is compatible with the motor and the dizzy.
The Mallory dizzy gear appears to be differen't from the stock unit. I attempted to drop it in for initial fitment but because of the gear it doesn't exactly work and is not a Plug and Play install. Can I swap anything from the stock dizzy (Meaning the gear??) to make the Mallory fit?
Any wisdom would be appreciated and make my life a whole lot easier!

try getting a hold of the manufacturer. They'll be able to tell you exactly what you need to know.

Yeah, that's looking like my only option at this point. Per the manufacturers website, the two are compatible. I'm just waiting for a reply from their tech support. Next will be a phone call....
