what sensor is this ? busted on trans....

hello, my birds been off the road a year now. today i jacked her up onto axle stands - and out of the mud ! to fit a new trans mount, whilst i was under there i noticied that there was a wire/plug sitting on the floor - still with loom, turns out theres a snapped/broke sensor half way down my gearbox - i think small garden vines had hold of the wiring when i jacked her up and theve ripped it off.
anyways, i cant find out what it is in my manual, the cars not running so i cant find out by that.
Its a T5 box, theres one sensor at the back of the box - which is fine, and this one is from half way down the box passenger side ahead of crossmember.
thanks Ant

That would be the reverse light switch, not a sensor. You won't have backup lights until you replace it. Simply unscrew it with a pan underneath (because you WILL lose some trans fluid) and put the new one in.
