Ported vacuum source...
Okay, I need to get rid of the code 32 now that I have FINALLY gotten rid of my code 45 with a different set of injectors. The problem is that I can't find the ported vacuum source on my 3.1 TB. I'm hoping it's not where that big nylon pipe connects to in the middle of the rubber vacuum block because then I have to adapt things up...
Also, along those lines, for those with 3.1's, how many of you still have the evap canisters but without the AIR system? Can I get away without the AIR hose running to the can?

I removed the AIR pump earlier this year. I know I plugged up the line that came from the pump to the T connector that is right there at the FPR. I still run the evap canister, but I cant remember anything coming from the AIR to the evap canister, if thats what you're asking. I can look through my shop manual and see, but the only thing going to the canister is the fuel tank pressure valve and there is a vacuum line going to the TB and the other line from the canister is vented to air. I think the TB is the only the that acts a vacuum source but just for the FPR. And the other line into the TB is just vapors coming from the canister when being purged. The only other vacuum sources I can think of is the PCV line and the 2 in back of the plenum for the MAP sensor and the T connector for the cruise control and the vents for the climate control.

When I pulled the canister off of the 91 harness donor, I also grabbed the canister... It had garbage vacuum hoses running to the vacuum solenoid and then to the canister purge valve, and a trash fuel hose running to the vent pipe coming from the fuel tank. There is a larger port on the canister that is labeled "AIR" that came from the AIR pump somehow. I don't have nor want to run an AIR pump (be kind of hard anyways because the check valve running into the passenger's side exhaust manifold is plugged really well at the inlet as well as the one at the catalytic converter, and I also don't have the necessary piping), and I was wondering if I can get away without that AIR hose.
The only other thing is that I NEED to have some sort of vacuum source to my existing 2.8 EGR vacuum solenoid assembly, preferably ported (the way it's supposed to be), but it seems that the manifold vac source is right next to the large port in the TB where I KNOW a large nylon pipe ran to the EECS can. I don't wish to buy reducers or anything like that just to run my EGR until I can repair the 91 harness. I also don't want a recurring code 32 (now that I got the code 45 to go away, I don't want to see that light on again until there is a REAL problem). I'll probably run a single vac hose to the "IN" port on the canister solenoid from the T on the back of the upper plenum so that the solenoid has a computer-controlled vac source instead of also having the ported vacuum for operation.
:edit: Do you have a pic of the emissions hose routing on your 91? The donor car had been repainted and ALL of the stickers were painted over, so I couldn't get a decent pic.

Ugh. Thanks. I figured that's what the big port on the TB block (that I have plugged) is for... It IS the ported vac source. Anyways, in that pic, there is a port on the evap can that is labeled "VENT"... That's where the AIR tube in the donor car ran to. Guess I won't run it then
