V6 suspension questions

K guys, gotta question for ya. I've read a few things on here from some people saying not to run the WS6 coil springs on a V6 car and some say it's fine. Now I know for the front I would need to trim the spring (increasing the rate) for proper ride height and I would do the same for the rear. I have a set of WS6 springs sitting in my garage from a previous project and I have a set of 36/24 bars to try out. I'm building this 86' to be an all around good handler. The spring rate on the WS6 springs is a little less than the Eibach Sportline springs from what I can gather. Now with each spring it would require some trimming for correct height (a little more so on the WS6 spring), so I would assume that the end spring rates would be very similar, and coupled with a good strut/shock combo (Koni Adjustables, or even KYB AGX's), should net a decent ride (as decent as one could expect from a lowered 3rd gen) and should handle good. Am I wrong in the assumption? All the 3rd gens I have built have been V8 cars, I've had pro kits, coil overs, sportlines etc and CE adjustables, Lakewood drag shocks, Bilstein's etc. But with the V6 up front and the car losing alot of weight here soon, I wanna get my ducks in a row here. If I can use these springs (I don't see why not), then I'll throw that $100+ toward something else for this project. The TTA uses the WS6 suspension package, and the 3.8 doesn't weigh much more, I think like 25lbs or so.
