v6 repair or swap

hey everybody i have a question i have a 86 firebird with a 2.8 v6 that is knocking. i also have a donor 92 305 v8 firebird should i just repair the v6 or swap it with the 305.

go to your local engine shop and see how much they want to repair the head on your v6 or get a other head in the junkyard

but if you have the whole car wire harness and all the sub parts and trans then just take the 305 bird and put it in the v6
