low pressure?

So my 90 camaro rs starts up with the oil pressure gauge at max which for this is 80 then typically drops to I believe about 60 range. Its never gone below 60 but there is a tremendous decrease in my power when it gets warmed up and drops. Although there are times when I can be driving all day and the pressure will stay maxed and the car will actually be able to keep up with a prius lol.

Question is what typically should I be seeing it at maxed or about at 60? it also has the tendency to change alot and im just curious if theres anything wrong or its just typical.

Re: low pressure?

Mine usually runs around 60 cold and 40 hot. 80-60 actually seems high but thats not really going to effect power, anyway.

Re: low pressure?

ok just checking. Yea lot of peoples runs 60-40 mines runes 80-60 idk thats why i was curious. I still need to get my exhaust fixed I would run straight pipes but its illegal in MA so right now my exhaust not being connected to my muffler isnt very good. Once i get some time i gotta go down get that fixed then probably get tuneup and oil change and work on a new intake.
