IAC Woes

So my car constantly stalls and will not idle or run without throttle blipping it, and poorly when doing that, I disconnected the IAC vacuum tube and it started right up and idled just fine....Need a translation to what's broken, I'm thinking this means air isn't getting from the IAC to the intake manifold vac connector? Which could be clogged line or IAC passage on throttle body perhaps?

Re: IAC Woes

Also may be of note that I was using heater hose on the IAC for vac line, someone had suggested it, but I suspect that it might be collapsing under vacuum, I know the original one was plastic, on the other hand brake boosters use rubber vac lines and work fine with them.
