Injectors vs. HP

What size of injectors are needed for what range of horsepower?
As in, what kind of HP can I have with 15 lb injectors, 19 lb, etc…?

Re: Injectors vs. HP

a general rule of thumb is like this

15# = 150 hp na
19# = 190 hp na
21# = 210 hp na etc etc etc

na its actually a lil higher rating but it works for a general idea
fr turbo and supercharged engines it would be slightly lower since they need to run a lwer afr so say the 15# would be around 130 hp turbo/superchared

So basically…*10 hp per lb?
And for a turbocharged engine, do I basically subtract 20 hp off the n/a rating?
15# = 130 hp
19# = 170 hp
21# = 190 hp
etc…

Thanks for the help..

Re: Injectors vs. HP

remember, just because u replace ur injectors with higher presure ones dsnt mean ur hp will go up. if ur engine dsnt require that much pressure, ur gonna end up flooding ur engine with gas n will run crapy

Yeah, it will only go up so much, then start to drop off. You dont wanna run too rich. I wouldnt recommend going up much, search for the article about replacing your injectors with ford 2.9L injectors. that seems to be the way to go.
