What is this other part? Please Help

This part is on the left side of the carburetor, is a 83 firebird 2.8L 2BLName:  SNC00529.jpg

I think they call this the CONTROL W/BRKT,PRIM VAC, But I'm not sure

Looks kinda like a cruise control module, but I doubt your car has cruise control.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but if it is the only vacuum can on your carb, I'd say it's the choke pull-off. On a carbureted car with automatic choke, its purpose is to take you from full choke to partial choke once the engine has started.
